Central Sensitization Syndrome is a Frequent Cause of Chronic Pain That is Often Overlooked

The complex network of nerve cells in the human sensory input nervous system transmits signals from the brain to our sensory organs. These signals allow us to understand the severity of a stimulus and how we should react.

Central sensitization syndrome (CSS) is a frequent cause of chronic pain that is often overlooked. CS refers to the mismatch of nerve neurons that process pain and other sensations. It can result in intense or unnatural pain, even though it’s not a pain.
